Boziliao OhBear Art Village
Centered around Boziliao Putian Temple, artists were invited to come to this small fishing village to give it an artistic makeover. The Chinese mythology themed painting echoes the mystical aura of local temples, such as Bao Gong of the renowned Baogong Temple (Haiqing Temple) in Sihu; Pangu Separating the Sky from the Earth; the Combat between Nezha and the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea; Chang’e Flying to the Moon; the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl; the Journey to the West; and many other familiar characters of Chinese myths. In 2018, to endow Boziliao with even more characteristics, in addition to adding special local elements to the creative works, the village partnered with the Tourism Bureau’s mascot, OhBear, to install 3D sculptures as well as Taiwan’s first and exclusive "double-sided paintings", turning it into the "OhBear Art Village", and injecting the whole art village with even more vigor and more interactive elements, attracting the attention of both domestic and overseas tourists as “check-in” hot spots.
