Since the Chiayi County Fishermen's Association set up its tourist fish market, travelers can purchase all kinds of fresh and even live seafood in the direct sales center here, and they can consume it on the spot, in the fish market's seafood restaurant. Many of the fishermen here have switched their profession in recent years, and everywhere in the harbor area today you can see signs offering tourist fishing raft services. Hire one of the rafts and you can enjoy a tour of the coastal scenery and the floating clam-farming frames. Such ecological pleasures have become one of Budai's most powerful tourist attractions.
