Southwest Coast National Scenic Area

The Southwest Coast National Scenic Area Management was established in Beimen and it has devoted all of its efforts intoto promoting tourism in Beimen, to make Beimen one of the important cities for tourism in Taiwan. The improvement in Beimen tourism brings many business opportunities and makes “A Shan Shi Oyster Fritter” a special Beimen delicacy.

In addition to oyster fritters, “A Shan Shi Oyster Fritter” also sells meat fritters and cuttlefish fritters. The batter for oyster fritter is made of soy flour, rice flour, and crispy powder, while the filling consists of oyster, cabbage and some chives. The oysters used have been marinated with Chinese herbs, soyasoy sauce, and sugar while the chives are only added in small amounts as garnish.
